Dry Needling in East Orlando & Waterford Lakes

Runners on the Econ trail, students and staff around UCF, and families across Waterford Lakes, Avalon Park and Alafaya use dry needling to clear the muscle knots behind recurring pain. Sessions are $95, or $450 for a course of six, at our Narcoossee Road clinic.

    What to Expect

    • Evening slots that work around class and shift schedules
    • Running gait questions answered, not just needles
    • 45–60 minutes one-on-one, never shared with another client
    • Treatment aimed at the pattern, not only the sore spot
    • Flat $95 per session, $450 for a six-visit course
    • Straight talk about when needling is not the right tool

    Econ trail and neighbourhood runners

Mileage in this part of town happens on the Econ River trail, the Avalon Park loops and the sidewalks off Alafaya. Three complaints dominate: a calf and soleus that stiffen in the last mile, plantar heel pain that is worst on the first steps out of bed, and lateral knee pain that shows up around week four of a training block.

None of those are usually a joint problem. They are taut bands in the calf complex, the peroneals, the glute medius or the tensor fasciae latae holding tension the tissue cannot release on its own. Needling those bands and then retraining cadence and load tends to get people back on the trail without taking the block apart.

    Students and staff around UCF

Long library sessions, a backpack on one shoulder, then an intramural game at full intensity with no warm-up is a reliable way to produce upper back and neck trigger points. Graduate students and lab staff describe the same thing: a burning band between the shoulder blade and the spine that returns every exam period.

Because it is study-cycle driven, we treat it differently — needling to break the current episode, then a two-minute reset routine to run between study blocks so the next semester does not rebuild it from scratch. We also keep later appointment times, since a 2pm slot is useless mid-semester.

Waterford Lakes and Avalon Park families

The everyday version of muscle pain rarely comes from sport. It comes from lifting a toddler on one hip, a long drive down 408, a weekend of yard work, or a job that has you overhead all day. The result is the same: a stubborn knot in the low back, hip or shoulder that heat, stretching and rest have stopped touching.

For those cases needling is often the shortest route to relief, and typically a course of three to six visits rather than an open-ended plan. If your problem turns out not to be muscular, we will say so and point you to the right care instead of selling you a package.
