How Much Does Dry Needling Cost in Orlando?

Dry needling in the Orlando area generally runs about $60 to $120 per session, with the price depending on session length, whether an assessment is included, and who performs it. Say Yes Therapy charges $95 for a single session and $450 for a package of six, which works out to $75 per session.

    What to Expect

    • A general Orlando range of about $60–$120 per session
    • Our published price: $95 single, $450 for six
    • Package pricing lowers the per-session cost
    • Self-pay service with a clear price before care begins
    • Session length and assessment drive most of the price gap
    • Five questions to ask any clinic before you book

What do you actually get for the price?

A dry needling session should include an assessment, the needling itself, and follow-up exercise — not needles alone. At Say Yes Therapy the $95 covers 45 to 60 minutes one-on-one: the clinician examines how you move, finds the trigger points driving the problem, needles them, then gives you corrective work to hold the change.

This is where prices diverge most. A clinic charging at the low end of the range may be offering fifteen to twenty minutes of needling added onto another visit, which is a legitimate model but is not the same product as a full one-on-one session. When you compare two numbers, you are usually comparing two different amounts of clinician time.

    Say Yes Therapy

    $95 / $450

$95 for a single session, or $450 for a package of six — $75 per session.

The package is a prepaid block of six sessions, not a membership, subscription, or recurring contract. There is nothing to cancel.

Unused sessions are refundable on request.

Sessions are provided only when clinically appropriate. If the assessment shows you need fewer than six, we will say so and will not sell you a package you do not need.

Why do single sessions cost more than package sessions?

Single sessions carry the full cost of a one-off booking, while a package is priced for a course of care that is scheduled in advance. Our six-session package is $450 — $75 per visit instead of $95, a saving of $120 — because the visits are committed up front, which makes scheduling predictable.

There is a clinical reason the package exists at all: most muscular problems need three to six sessions to change durably, so the package matches how the treatment is actually delivered. If your problem is recent and likely to resolve in one or two visits, buying six is a waste of your money and you should not be sold one. Sessions are provided only when clinically appropriate, and unused prepaid sessions are refundable on request.

Why don't most Orlando clinics publish a dry needling price?

Most clinics in this market route new patients to a free discovery call or an initial evaluation before quoting anything, so the price is not visible on the website. That is a common practice across the industry, not a local quirk — but the practical effect for you is that you cannot compare options without first booking a call with each one.

There are honest reasons for it: the appropriate plan really does depend on the assessment, and a clinic may not know whether you need one visit or six until it sees you. We publish our numbers anyway, on the view that you should be able to check whether care is affordable before you spend an hour finding out.

Does insurance cover dry needling, and what does self-pay mean?

Medicare does not cover dry needling. CMS assigns the dry needling codes, CPT 20560 and 20561, non-covered status, so it is offered as a self-pay service. Because it is not a normally covered service, no advance beneficiary notice is required, though we will provide a voluntary written notice on request.

Commercial plan coverage varies. Some plans exclude dry needling, while others cover it only inside a broader physical therapy plan of care. Self-pay means you pay the published price directly for this service. For services we can bill, see our Medicare and insurance page.

How do you compare dry needling quotes between clinics?

Ask every clinic the same five questions and the numbers become comparable: is the assessment included in the quoted price, how many minutes is the session, is the time one-on-one with the clinician, what are that clinician's credentials, and is there a package rate. A cheaper quote for half the time is not cheaper.

    • Is an assessment included, or billed as a separate first visit?
    • How long is the session, in minutes?
    • Is the whole session one-on-one with the treating clinician?
    • Who performs the needling, and what are their credentials? In Florida, dry needling may be performed only by a licensed physical therapist who meets the minimum standards in Fla. Admin. Code R. 64B17-6.008, and it cannot be delegated to an assistant or aide.
    • Is there a package rate, and does it expire?

Then ask what happens if needling turns out not to be the right treatment. A clinic that will tell you no is worth more than one that is a few dollars cheaper.
